Starting June 6th, Jett Auto Auction will be running two simultaneous live auctions from separate locations. You can bid online, attend in person, or place proxy bids on the vehicles you want.

Watch the auction live from anywhere and bid in real time. If you are interested in vehicles at both locations, open each auction in a separate browser tab so you can quickly switch between the Duncan and Parksville sales.

Prefer the live auction experience? Attend in person at either location and bid with a paddle. Both locations will have live auctioneers and live in-person bidding.
Use Proxy Bids
A proxy bid lets you enter the highest amount you are willing to pay. The auction system will automatically bid for you in the required increments, up to your maximum amount.

Buying In 4 Easy Steps
1. Register
Registration opens Saturday at 9:30 AM. Bring valid government-issued ID. Registration is free.
2. Inspect Vehicles
Vehicle viewing is available Thursday through Saturday. Buyers are responsible for inspecting vehicles before bidding.
3. Place Your Bid
Live bidding begins Saturday at 11:00 AM. Bid onsite or online through the live auction platform.
4. Win & Pick Up
Pay your deposit immediately after winning. Complete payment by Tuesday at 4:00 PM and arrange pickup.

Vehicles may be picked up Saturday until 3:00 PM or Tuesday during office hours.

All purchases are subject to applicable buyer fees, taxes, and vehicle history/report fees.

Deposit required after winning bid:
- $500 deposit for bids under $5,000
- $1,000 deposit for bids over $5,000
- $2500 deposit for bids over $10,000
- $5000 deposit for bids over $20,000
Accepted payment methods: Cash, debit, money order, bank draft, Visa, and MasterCard. Visa and MasterCard payments are subject to a 2% admin fee. Personal cheques are not accepted.
⚠ Important Information About Tow Units
In British Columbia, vehicles that have not been inspected by a licensed mechanic for road use may be labelled as Tow Units.
If a vehicle displays warning lights such as airbag, ABS, or other safety-related issues, it may be labelled as not roadworthy — not suitable for transportation and noted as a Tow Unit in the auction details.
Being labelled as a Tow Unit does not necessarily mean the vehicle is in poor condition. However, Tow Units are sold as-is, do not qualify for arbitration, and may not be insured for road use until inspected and approved.
After You Win
Deposit
A non-refundable deposit is required immediately after a successful bid.
Payment
The remaining balance must be paid in full by 4:00 PM on the Tuesday following the auction.
Pickup
The registered purchaser must be present for pickup and registration. No third-party pickups or registrations are permitted.
Storage
Storage fees begin Wednesday following the auction for unpaid or unclaimed vehicles and items.
Please Read Before Bidding
All vehicles are sold with applicable buyer fees, history/report fees, and taxes. While Jett Auction does its best to ensure correct options and details are listed, accuracy cannot be guaranteed. Viewing in person is strongly recommended.
It is the purchaser’s sole responsibility to make any necessary inquiries and inspect the item before placing a bid. All sales are governed by Jett Auction’s auction policies, terms, and conditions.
Policies & Important Details
Payment Terms
Payment must be completed by 4:00 PM on the Tuesday following the Saturday auction. Failure to pay may result in forfeiture of deposit, late fees, collections activity, and legal action.
If the outstanding balance is not received by the end of day Tuesday, Jett Auction reserves the right to charge the remaining balance to the credit card provided at registration. A 2% merchant processing fee and applicable fees may also apply.
Late Payment Fee
A $250 late payment fee will be applied to the purchase total if full payment is not received by the end of day Tuesday.
Vehicle Storage Fees
- Vehicles: $25 per day starting Wednesday after the auction.
- After 7 days: $100 per day.
- RVs: $50 per day starting Wednesday after the auction.
- RVs after 7 days: $150 per day.
Estate Lot Pickup
Estate lots must be removed by close of business on Tuesday following the Saturday auction. Beginning Wednesday, a storage fee of $10 per day applies for up to seven days. Items not retrieved within this timeframe may be considered abandoned.
Arbitration Eligibility
Only vehicles that sell over $5,000 and have a functional odometer reading under 200,000 km are eligible for arbitration. Tow Units, TMU vehicles, and RVs are excluded from arbitration and are sold as-is.
Service engine lights are disclosed through instrument cluster photos when visible and are not arbitrable. It is the bidder’s responsibility to make any necessary inquiries before bidding.
RV Purchases
All recreational vehicles are sold as presented with no returns. Jett Auction strongly recommends viewing RVs before bidding or purchasing.
All RVs must be removed from the auction premises by a licensed towing or transportation company at the purchaser’s sole expense. A pickup appointment must be scheduled with Jett Auction staff before accessing the property for removal.
Non-Paying Buyer Policy
All bids are legally binding. By placing a bid, the purchaser agrees to complete the transaction if they are the winning bidder.
Failure to complete payment or backing out of the transaction constitutes default. The purchaser may be responsible for buyer fees, seller fees, the $95 history/report fee, storage fees, late fees, resale shortfalls, collection costs, and legal costs.
Dispute & Chargeback Policy
All sales are final. Vehicles are sold “as is, where is,” with all faults and with no warranties expressed or implied. All disputes must be handled through Jett Auction’s Arbitration Policy.
If a purchaser disputes a transaction after payment and taking possession, a $499 dispute fee may be applied. Jett Auction may contest the dispute and pursue recovery of funds, additional damages, and legal costs.
Pickup & Registration Rules
The registered purchaser must be present for item pickup and registration. No third-party pickups or registrations are permitted. Valid required documents are necessary to complete the process.
Non-compliance creates additional administrative work, document corrections, and delays. A $199 administrative fee may be charged when these rules are not followed.
Online Bidding
The live auction feed is scheduled to begin at approximately 11:00 AM on Saturday. Online bidders can participate using a desktop, laptop, phone, or tablet.
If successful, online bidders can expect to receive an invoice by email between approximately 2:30 PM and 4:00 PM.
